Crossmen Drum Major

Conducting is how Drum Majors or directors keep time with their band. They generally stand on a riser and conduct with their hands or baton, with evenly lengthed movements, so the band knows how fast to march and play. There are many different styles of conducting and also many different time signatures. Some examples of time signatures are 3/4, 4/4(C), 2/4, 6/8, 5/4, and cut time.
